Well, this wouldn't be for some folks - it grosses them out - but i like "used" linens.

While in massage school some years ago i went to the local thrift stores to find twin sized flat sheets inexpensively to use. I found quite a lot that were nice, but what i discovered was that they were very soft & broken in. I decided then i'd never buy new again! If you are very selective, you can find very nice sheets that have been washed enough that they are very soft.

Ideally, i would love to buy new sheets of Irish Linen - real linen sheets. I had some years ago that were a linen/cotton blend & once they were broken in i loved them! But the price is prohibitive for us ($300 per sheet is just too much & i can't justify it) but in a world where i could get whatever i want - well!
